Freefall by Sue Glass

Title: Freefall
Medium: acrylic on canvas

Remember when you were a child and your father said, “jump, I’ll catch you.” So you jumped, knowing he was there and he wouldn’t let you fall. When my Father God asks me to do something, even if I’m unsure or if I’m intimidated I know that He is with me - He will catch me if I fall.

This painting represents the exhilarating breathlessness after just taking flight and the excitement of the moment of surrender. When we take the leap, we can know that we will land in His arms.

Deuteronomy 31:8, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

This is my sixth session with Portable Vision and I had the privilege to work with Stephanie, Anna and fellow mentor, Lauren. We laughed a lot, sang, and even danced. With all of that going on, we still managed to make some art! Thank you for all of your hard work. God has gifted you all and blessed me with time spent together.
